About Me

I am a clinical health psychologist and psychotherapist. I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California, and have had an active private practice since 2016. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship in Women’s Mental Health at a community OB/Gyn clinic through the Department of Psychiatry at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC). My experience focused on helping women experiencing perinatal mood changes, grief from pregnancy loss, and fertility challenges.

Clinical Training

I have extensive training and experience providing psychological services to individuals diagnosed with breast and gynecologic cancer. I completed an intensive, year-long post-graduate course in fertility counseling, emphasizing consultations for intended parents & gamete donors and assessment for prospective gestational carriers. I am also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at CPMC and supervise Health Psychology Interns and Women’s Mental Health Post-Doctoral Fellows.

My Approach

One of my primary goals as a therapist is recognizing who you are without the interference of assumptions. I strive towards creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood in a way that maps onto your subjective sense of self: how you experience yourself, the people in your life, and the communities in which you live. My hope is that feeling genuinely understood and cared for allows you the safety to explore the parts of your mind, experiences, or relationships that feel painful or confusing.

You might be considering therapy because feel stuck, overwhelmed with recent stressors, or unsure of how to shift longer-standing patterns of behavior or ways of relating to others. I aim to help you understand where these patterns come from, what they mean, and how they might be impacting your quality of life. Together, we can use this insight to help clarify what it is you want for yourself and the changes you would like to make. If you are experiencing significant symptoms of post-traumatic stress or panic, our work together might include incorporating specific strategies to help you manage more immediate distress.
